L’ artista visiva e performer Anna Kushnerova (Inghilterra/Russia) e l’artista di movimento Sofia Kovarich (Italia) si sono incontrate nella scuola di Butō in Himalaya, da allora condividono una pratica continuativa di danza Butō, co creando ed esplorando azioni corporee.

La loro collaborazione a fivizzano27 è stata inoculata dopo aver incontrato Emilia a Spazio500, uno spazio per la ricerca artistica in Trentino. L’ospitalitá di fivizzano27 é diventata un’opportunitá per incontrarsi di nuovo. Per la loro permanenza di 9 giorni a fivizzano27 Anna e Sofia hanno invitato un gruppo di artistǝ da diverse parti del mondo. Michelle Anay Woods arriverá dal Belgio, dove ha co-fondato uno spazio di eventi e performance Table Dance, lavorerá con cibo e gastronomia come mezzi artistici. Pierre Antoine Vettorello (Belgio/Francia) sì unirá a noi come danzatore portando la sua esperienza come creatore di abiti che incarnano militanza, ostilità e poesia. Anastasia Freygang esplorerà narrazioni non lineari tramite il suono e il corpo presente. Eleonora Salvato (Italia) si aggiungerà per danzare, insieme sperimenteranno ed indagheranno la trasformazione del CORPO in STRUMENTO. Jack Davey (Inghilterra) creerá arti metallici per i corpi che si incontreranno nella selvaggia sinfonia corporea che chiamano SPANDA.

𝕊ℙ𝔸ℕ𝔻𝔸 culminerá con una performance e aprirá le sue porte il 4 e 5 Dicembre ad un numero limitato di spettator*.

In occasione della residenza, il 30 Novembre e l’1 e 2 Dicembre, lǝ artistǝ condivideranno sessioni aperte delle loro pratiche.

La residenza sarà in collaborazione con L’Hacker Porn Festival e Pescheria, manifestazioni ibride di Roma Est.

“utilizzeremo acquerelli sui nostri corpi, lasciando vagamente tracce supportate dal canto e dal respiro. Attraverso il movimento lento, il ritmo crescente e l’interazione consensuale, il nostro suono sarà un riflesso del tempo trascorso esplorando la comunicazione non verbale, le simulazioni simboliche e il corpo sociale.”

Rivolto alle persone che hanno voglia di creare uno spazio di cura per i corpi, aperto a tuttə, no molesti no machi, no fasci, no omofobi.

Visual artist and performer Anna Kushnerova (UK/Russia), and movement artist and founder of spazio500, Sofia Kovarich (Italy) met at the Himalayan Butoh school and since have shared an ongoing practice in the Butoh dance, co-creating and exploring body based acts.
Their collaboration at Fivizzano27 was inoculated after having met Emilia at Spazio500, a space for artistic research in Trentino. Fivizanno27’s hospitality became an opportunity to meet again and for their 9 day stay in Eastern Rome, Anna Kushnerova and Sofia Kovarich have called upon a group of artists and dancers from different parts of the world. Michelle Anay Woods will come from Belgium, where she co-founded a performance and event space Table Dance and will work with mediums of foods and cookery. Pierre Antoine Vettorello (Belgium/France) will join us as a dancer bringinging his experience as a maker of garments embodying militancy, hostility and poetry. Anastasia Freygang will explore non-linear forms of narrative through sound and the present body. Eleonora Salvato (Italy) will join us to dance.

Together they will experiment and inquire into making BODY into INSTRUMENT. Jack Davey (UK) will create metallic body limbs for the movers who will meet in the wild, body-based symphony they call SPANDA.

𝕊ℙ𝔸ℕ𝔻𝔸 will culminate in a performance and will open its doors on 4 and 5 December to a limited number of spectators.
On the occasion of the residency, on November 30th and December 1st and 2nd, the artist will lead open, shared practice sessions.

Drawing from Butoh methods, guided transformation into ‘becoming’ SLUG. We learn from liquid intelligence of the body and its inner multidimensional Dance, accessing its memory of perpetually morphing, evolving and enfolding organisms.

This morning we will be using water colours on our bodies, leaving faintly traces supported by song and breath. The bodypainting is an open invitation to highlight places from where your voice may arise and release it into the open. Through slow movement, mounting rhythm and consented interplay our sounding will be a reflection of the time spent exploring non-verbal communication, symbolicsims and the social body.

The workshop will be audio recorded with your permission.
